Jawad Maphoto

Jawad Nthlane Maphoto, or King Jahwi, as his clients fondly refer to him, is a revered hair maestro, businessman, husband and doting father hailing from the sunny great north, Limpopo. Although he studied electrical engineering, Maphoto’s true passion sparked while working as a sweeper and cleaner at a hair salon where he moved up the ranks to become a shampooer. With a vision and hunger for  success, King Jahwi’s dreams came to life in 2007, when he launched his salon, Lajawi Beaute Café. The 18 years that followed demonstrated Maphoto’s remarkable hard work, tenacity, and sheer creativity.
